we came up with lots of different ideas we liked them all so we printed them off They are listed below.

Herbs For Salads

Herbs For Teas
Chamomile, Lemon Balm, Lemon Grass, Lemon Verbena, Pelargoniums, Peppermint, Thyme, Yarrow.

Herbs For Fruit Drinks
Apple Mint, Borage, Eau-de-Cologne Mint, Pineapple Sage, Salad Burnet, Spearmint.

Herbs For Fragrance

Ajuga reptans

European Bugle, Common Bugle, Blue Bugle.
Origin: Europe.
Height: 5-8 cm; spread indefinite.
Spreads by runners.
Forms a dense mat of roundish, green leaves, from which deep blue flower spikes up to 20cm high emerge.
Best in part shade in Adelaide.

 

Ajuga reptans

Origin: Europe.

Spreads by runners.
Forms a dense mat of roundish, green leaves, from which deep blue flower spikes up to 20cm high emerge.

Ajuga reptans 'Burgandy Glow'

This cultivar has cream and burgandy variegated leaves.

 

Ajuga reptans 'Catlin's Giant'

Another slightly larger growing cultivar.

 

Ajuga reptans 'Jungle Beauty'

A larger, faster spreading cultivar with dark green, slightly purple tinged leaves.

 

Ajuga reptans Purpurea

This cultivar has dark purple to bronze leaves.

 

Arabis ferdinandi-coburgii variegata

syn. A. procurrens.
Origin: Southeastern Europe
Dense clusters of thick foliage which press close to the ground, small leaves up to 12cm with broad cream margins. Profuse sprays of white flowers rise about 10cm above the foliage in spring.

 

Arenaria montana

Origin: Southwest Europe.
Height: to 15cm.
Flowers profusely, with flower stems protruding slightly above foliage; white with yellow-green centres.

 

Armeria maritima

Common Thrift, Sea Pink.
Origin: Widely spread over the northern hemisphere.
Height: 10 cm, spreading to about 20 cm.
Very dense mound of narrow, dark green leaves.
Small, dense flowers on stalks protrude from the clumps in spring and summer (white to pink).

Abelia x grandiflora

This is a hybrid between Abelia chinensis and A. uniflora.

 

Convolvulus cneorum

Silver Bush, Bush Morning Glory
Origin: Mediterranean Europe
Height 60cm Width 70cm
A hardy shrub with silvery foliage and glistening white 'Morning Glory' type flowers. Can withstand average drought and general neglect. Ideal for a foreground contrasting colour plant or can be planted in clusters where large areas of taller ground cover plants are needed.

 

Coprosma repens 'Marble Queen'

syn.: Coprosma baureri 'Marble Queen'
Origin: New Zealand

 

Cuphia hyssopifolia 'white form'

Height 50cm Width 50cm
A low growing bushy shrub covered with masses of small white flowers. Ideal for hedge plants, growing in pots, or rockeries. Prune lightly after flowering to maintain a compact plant. Plant in sun or part shade.

 

Escallonia 'Pink Pixi'

Height 80cm Width 80cm
A compact dwarf growing Escallonia with vibrant, glossy, green leaves which are covered with brilliant pink, bell-shaped flowers from spring to late summer. Ideal for pots, rockeries and can be kept as a hedge plant. Can be planted in full sun, part shade and in coastal conditions. Frost tolerant.

 

Euonymus japonicus 'microphyllus'

Height 1m Width 80cm
A good dwarf hedging plant with densely arranged, dark green, pointed, oval leaves. Tiny greenish flowers in late spring - summer can be kept as a small low hedge.
Ideal for hedges, topiary and pots. Plant in sunny position.

 

Lavandula 'Sidonie'

Australian Lavender
Origin: Hybrid lavender originating in Australia, the seed parent being Lavandula pinnata.
